Excited to be in Melbourne (but having to wrap up warm!)
We love the Melbourne trams.
Cute little streets abound in downtown Melbourne.
In the garden in Avenel - time for operation 'Clear Tumbleweed'!
Teva, buried in tumbleweed, is keen to 'help'...
...she's more interested in the rake though!
We go and watch Megan play netball. She shoots, she scores!
David's MG, back on the road after a bit of tinkering.
Enjoying some early evening sun while hanging the washing out (Teva is shortly to come and pull everything off the line resulting in much chasing around, which she of course loves!)
Reef, one of the family's gorgeous cats (Coral, the other cat, is no doubt somewhere hiding from Teva!)
We're smiling now but soon are broken!
A wholesome scene as we stop to pet this horse and sheep which run over to the fence as we cycle past. We feign extra interest as it prolongs our rest stop!
Taking Teva for a walk. Emily sports an eclectic ensemble of borrowed layers!
Collecting firewood. Our wimpiness in the cold means that we're getting through it at a rate of knots!
Em and Sal leave the menfolk to it!
Our stop in Oz also provides an opportunity for James to get some acupuncture from Sal (a physio) on his neck and shoulders after a year on the road.
On a weekend with Dan in Melbourne, we go an Aussie Rules game.
It's popular with the locals!
We struggle to follow the rules...
...but it seems to involve a fair few scraps!...
...interspersed with moments of actual sport...
...before all kicking off again!
That evening we go out for an evening of Emily's choosing...
...needless to say, it involves Prosecco!
We slightly over order with the pasta and large pizza combo!
Back at home, Em grabs every animal she can to help keep warm!
Preparing a bonfire out in the paddock.
As satisfying as it was to burn the tumbleweed, the fact is that just out of shot, it's all piling up against the fence again!
