Welcome to Malaysia, baby!
Er, what happened to the sun?! No worries, bike shelters are everywhere!
In Penang, this is our home for the next ten days - not too shabby!!
Andrew gets us started on our culinary tour...
Down at the surname jetties - Chinese families of the same name have lived here for hundreds of years.
Homes line the jetties that extend right out over the water.
Taoist temple down by the surname jetties. Loving the beer offerings!
'Hell notes' are left or burnt as offerings to the deceased.
Chicken satay.... mmmm...
Lush forest is never too far away.
This guy has been operating at this same street corner for years - a cafe even opened across the road specifically to serve drinks to his customers!
When it rains, it pours.
Andrew takes us out for Peking duck - yes, we are very spoilt!
Spraying off the bikes before we take them to Kuala Lumpur to be crated.
Didn't think we'd given you enough eating shots...
On the way to Kuala Lumpur. Think we'll have to give the Cameron Highlands a miss!
The sun comes out for the final stretch into the capital.
I spy a big city!!
Kuala Lumpur! We do the best we can with no wide-angle lens (not that James ever goes on about it....)
Photo op over, it's time to try and find somewhere to stay!...
Blues skies the next day - much better!
James tempts fate (remember Katmandu?...) by seriously testing the reserve on our fuel as we head to the shipping agents. Yes, that is 99.8km on the reserve light!
We make it and get our bikes prepped for crating in the hyper-organised environment of the Crown Relo warehouse. If only a photo could capture the heat and humidity!
Looking good, spacious in fact! Henry and the team are skeptical when we say that our crates last time were far smaller!
The Towers by night. James attempts an arty shot.
Out for dinner with Henry and Maz (their son Jake is still larking about in the bar's olympic size pool). All in all a fantastic evening!
The hallway of our hotel in Kuantan looks suspiciously like an underground carpark!
Tioman Island. We pretty much have the beach to ourselves!
